On behalf of the dedicated men and women of Central Jackson County Fire Protection District, I am honored to welcome you to our website. I am proud to represent CJCFPD as the 6th Fire Chief in the District’s history, standing alongside our highly trained team of professionals that ensure our citizens, businesses, and community visitors are protected each day. CJCFPD protects almost 82,000 residents in Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Lake Tapawingo, and unincorporated Jackson County.

Since the inception of our District in 1960, we have seen tremendous growth, including International Accreditation, achievement of ISO 1 Rating and receiving Accreditation for our EMS Training Division. Currently CJCFPD provides fire protection, emergency medical services, urban search and rescue, hazmat, fire prevention, EMS education, and most recently our community paramedicine program (CJCares). All these things are attributable to the hard work and sacrifice of the personnel at CJCFPD.

Through our website, we hope you are able to more completely understand our mission and the services we provide to the citizens and visitors of CJCFPD. We are honored to serve within our community and will always strive to find innovative ways to give back to our gracious citizens. The support we receive from our citizens is second to none, and for that we are grateful. Thank you again for stopping by and we look forward to hearing from you in the future.

Fire Chief Kirk D. Lair
