The CJC Fire Prevention Division has the responsibility for reviewing new commercial construction plans for fire and life safety concerns. These systems consist of various items that range from fire alarms to sprinklers. This is in cooperation with the building departments of our protected communities which are listed below.

Once the permit is issued by the responsible jurisdiction, the CJC Fire Prevention Division will do an inspection on those fire and life safety systems and equipment components. This will assist those jurisdictions in completing their projects and those jurisdictions will issue a certificate of occupancy.
